Support Worker – Hexham
About The Role
This service caters for those that live their long term, attend the onsite college or perhaps may only attend for support during term time. A real mix of behaviours is on offer here but it’s a real opportunity for some great support as you can also enjoy your days shopping, quad biking, activities outdoors and much more.
This independent specialist provider of further education in North East England, offering day and up to 52-week residential placements for young people with a learning disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder and complex needs. They have a person-centred approach provides students with individualised learning programmes developed to effectively match their needs, personal decisions and aspirations, be the focus on daily living skills, vocational qualifications or independent living
Now, we are looking for Support Worker to join our agency team and provide continued support to this service over the next few months. This service is having block bookings with Standby right up until Christmas and so, you won’t be short of work. You might worry about what will happen when these finishes… don’t! We’re an agency and have plenty of work
We are looking for staff to cover a range of shifts, including days and nights with weekend 2. Ideally you will have a minimum 6 month experience in healthcare in the UK with all relevant training and documentation to go alongside it. What you need to have to apply:
• Minimum 6 months experience in the UK healthcare sector
• Ability to complete or provide a DBS
• Relevant experience or NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care
• PBS, MAPA, NAPPI or other Crisis Prevention training
